In "Arthur's birthday," Arthur's birthday party turns out to be the very same day Muffy is having her birthday party. Muffy quickly raises the stakes -- anyone who doesn't go to her party can't be her friend. Can Arthur find a solution to make everyone happy? In "Arthur's New Year," Arthur is determined to stay up and discover what exactly happens at midnight on December 31st. There are plenty of rumors, but no one seems to know for sure. Arthur and D.W. are planning a surprise party for Grandma Thora in "Grandma Thora appreciation day." They're doing it all by themselves thank-you-very-much and they're not even fighting. But somehow, in the midst of all the planning mayhem, they forgot to invite the guest of honor. In "D.W.'s perfect wish," turning five is a major, big-deal event. But D.W. worries that she fribbled away her preschool years on meaningless pursuits. To make up for it, she wants this year's birthday wish to be especially meaningful
