Summary
An epic saga of a family's love for each other and the Australian river on which they live. Cyrus James, a charming American, encounters the Philadelphia riverboat at the turn of the century and quickly befriends the skipper Brenton Edwards and his family, who are proud and happy to work the river. But when Brenton is unjustly sent to prison, Mrs. Edwards must do everything she can to make ends meet.
